This machine has been designed to pick up early and very delicate potatoes.
SPECIAL is a trailed machine and is equipped with electro-hydraulic controls to rule all movements. The pickup is made up of a system including a share blade with adjustable angle, floating soil feeler roller for adjusting the digging depth, grass-cutting discs mounted on springs and easily adjustable by means of screws. The pick up includes also haulm intake rollers.
The elevator-sieving web is extra large (80 cm) with crancked bars covered with star PVC to avoid rolling and peeling. The sorting table is made up of a central web with a width of approx. 600 mm and of two lateral belts, each 200 mm approx. The tubers and dug up material (earth, stones, leaves, etc.) are conveyed to the central web. The personnel, positioned on either side of the table, manually sort the product and transfer this to the lateral belts. From these belts, the picked product is conveyed into containers (bags, crates, boxes) placed on special supports located to the rear of the machine. The machine is easy to operate thanks to the use of steering wheels (opt.). The sorting web is hydraulically driven, as are the lateral belts, which are equipped with their own hydraulic motor.
