Flail Mower 1.25m Gasoline Engine 16HP Special v22 with Centrifugal Clutch

The new towed gasoline engine flail mowers carry all the benefits and a lot of features from the previous models. They have been developed to meet the needs of contractors, farmers, estate owners, arboriculture and photovoltaics owners. They are well suited for controlling dense and high vegetation.

It is suitable for towing with ATV or UTV, or even by a slow transmission car. It is destined mostly for vehicles which do not have PTO, since it is autonomous, with its own gasoline engine. Most frequent towing speed is from 3 to 6 km/h, always depending on the height and thickness of vegetation.

The flail mower is suitable for cutting and grinding of grass and small twigs. It has 28 pairs of Y-pattern flails made of high-grade steel with increased cutting capability and durability. There are excellent mulching capabilities when cutting very long and dense vegetation to protect the roots of plants from heat or cold, to keep soil moist and to control weeds. The flails are very durable even on rocky soil.

The new improved features are the following:
1. Working width is 125cm.
2. Deck made of 5mm bent sheet metal painted with primer and acrylic paint.
3. In the new design, it has two adjustable sleighs, in two positions in height, one on the right and one on the left side.
4. It has 56 Y-pattern flails made of high-grade steel even in rocky soil. Blade thickness 5mm and width 40mm. Weight 200gr. Also used in Maletti and Kverneland available in the EU market, although they wear out very hard.
5. The new further reinforced flail shaft is now available electronically balanced. Shaft weight 42,8kg. Shaft weight including 56 flails 54kg.
6. Special Edition has a fixed array of flails, which help to better grind the grass and twigs.
7. Rear anti-scalp roller. In the new design it has reinforced metal cylinder on the rear of the machine adjustable in two positions. Eliminates scalping in rough conditions.
8. In the new design, in the front part, it has 10 high durability plastic rotating flaps protections with counterweight, instead of a single rubber protection. The flaps are mounted on a stainless-steel shaft. Flaps eliminate projectiles being thrown out in front of the machine and it is also better entry of vegetation inside the cutting space.
9. Simple screw adjustor for flails to ground height adjustment from 0 up to 200mm.
10. Swivelling ball hitch. It can also rotate freely to avoid tension on uneven ground. Satisfies safety recommendations.
11. Turn buckle on the drawbar. Levels the machine for an even cut.
12. Drawbar can be offset in three positions. It can be towed just behind the towing vehicle or with easy offset adjustment slightly to the left or far left so it can approach near trees, fences destroying grass outside the vehicle wheelings.
13. Folding support of two bar.
14. The wheels can be adjusted to the back, reducing the width of the mower making it capable of working in narrow places.
15. New economic powerful engine 16ΗΡ Miyake, designed in Japan. Ample power for demanding applications. The gasoline engine has both a recoil and ignition starter.
16. Battery. It has a powerful gel type 14Ah battery for the key and ignition starter. It has also a general power switch for circuit and battery protection against long period of no usage.
17. Centrifugal engagement clutch. Transmission from the engine to the flail shaft is achieved automatically.  At 1800rpm the engine powers on the clutch while at 2800rpm full power transmission is achieved. There is no clutch lever.
18. Two heavy duty high torque belts for efficient power transmission.
19. Kill switch clips to the rack of the atv. Emergency stop within easy reach of the operator.
20. Rear LED lights (drive, turn indicators, brakes) and a power plug in order to connect the mower with the towing vehicle.
21. In the new design, the tyres have bigger diameter for easier towing on difficult terrain. They transport the flail mower with ease and are 18/8.50-8 8PR type.
22. Stub axles. The rims do not have built-in bearings. The tires fit into stub axles with heavy duty bearings. In the new design the stub axles are even heavier since both together can accept a payload of up to 600kg.

26. Towing vehicle. Recommended for towing with at least 15Hp vehicle (or car) with a "slow" transmission rate. 4x4 and more horsepower is important only in uneven terrain. For example, ATV 250cc 4x2 or bigger.
27. The working speed varies depending on the density of vegetation, weather and humidity conditions. The type of the terrain is how accessible is has an important role. The performance output can range from 0,2 to 0,5 hectares per hour
28. Technical manual for operation and maintenance instructions are provided for the flail mower and the gasoline engine.

In very thick and tall vegetation, over one meter tall, it is recommended going through it once with the flails adjusting high, and a second time with the flails adjusted low. The blades in the low position osculate with the ground.

The flail mower is mostly used for cleaning tree plantations, photovoltaic parks and fields with uneven vegetation requiring cutting and cleaning. It can break small branches.
