POLYPROPYLENE 5 SUCTION FOOT VALVE G500AG SERIES (HYDROSTAT)
Input Thread: 5 Female
Thread Standard: ISO 228
Nominal Pressure: PN12. It is noticed that, the excess of 2 Bars in the mentioned pressure, causes the breakage of the Hydrostats.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The Foot Valves and Flap Check Valves are manufactured in Greece.
Their trade mark is "HYDROSTATS". The Hydrostats series G500 were designed, meditated and manufacturedin the year 1975 and are literary property. The Hydrostats series 2000 were designed, meditated and manufactured in the year 1989 and are literary property. The Hydrostats series 2050 were designed, meditated and manufactured in the year 1995 and are literary property.
Series & Types of the Hydrostats:
The Hydrostats are produced in 3 series: a. 2000, b.2050 c. G500.
The series 2050 of the Foot Valves consists of the type "PI" (plastic body, inox metallic spare parts), in the dimensions 2,1/2", 3" & 4".
The series 2000 of the Flap Check Valves also consists of the type "PI" (plastic body, inox metallic spare parts) in the dimensions 2,1/2", 3" & 4".
The series G500 of the Foot Valves consists of the type "AG" (plastic body, thread of aluminum and metallic galvanized spare parts), in the dimensions 5" & 6" and of the type "FI" (plastic body, thread and the rest metallic spare parts of stainless steel), in the dimensions 5" & 6".
The series G500 of the Flap Check Valves consists of the type "AG" (plastic body, thread of aluminum and metallic galvanized spare parts) in the dimensions 5" & 6" and of the type "FI" (plastic body, thread and the rest metallic spare parts of stainless steel), in the dimensions 5" & 6".
Construction materials:
The body of all the Foot Valves and Flap Check Valves as well as the Filter of the Foot Valves are constructed of Polypropylene. In the Polypropylene is added a special sun-block material (UV), for the protection of Hydrostats from the sun rays. The Polypropylene is suitable for usage in drinking water and cannot deteriorate from sea water and chemical fluids with consistency up to 20%. The evacuation lever of the Foot Valves, the threaded base of the Flap Check Valves and the inside valve of all the Hydrostats are constructed of Polyamide. The Polyamide is suitable for usage in drinking water and canno deteriorate in sea water and chemical fluids with consistency up to 10%. The elastic impermeable parts (valve’s washers and valve’s membranes) are manufactured of a material, which is suitable for usage in drinking water and cannot deteriorate in sea water and chemical fluids with consistency up to 10%. The metallic thread of the Hydrostats series "G500", type "FI", is manufactured of stainless steel 312, which is not affected by sea water and chemical fluids with consistency up to 20%.The metallic thread of the Hydrostats series "G500", type "AG", is manufactured of aluminum. Is suitable for usage only in irrigation. It is not suitable for pumping of sea water and chemical fluids. The bolts of the Hydrostats series "G500", type "FI", is of stainless steel 304, which is not affected of sea water and chemical fluids with consistency up to 10%. The bolts of the Hydrostats series "G500", type "AG", are suitable for usage only in irrigation. They are not suitable for sea water pumping and for chemical fluids pumping.
Loss of the intake fluid due to frictions: In almost all the metallic Foot Valves and Flap Check Valves, their inside valve opens horizontally, remaining between the entrance point and the exit point of the running of water. This has as a result the reduction of the suction ability of the pump in percentage until 15%. The valves of the Hydrostats, for the solution of the above problem, are manufactured in a way so as to open in parallel to the running of the intake fluid, reducing by this way the resistance and the loss in the 4%. The measurement of the loss of the intake fluid of the Hydrostat has been made by the Institute of Agricultural & Mechanical Constructions in Greece (I.A.M.C test report Δ/3847).
Impermeability of the Valve:
From the tests that were made from the I.A.M.C. was noted that, the Hydrostats do not have absolutely any leakage, up to their breakage limit (test report Δ/3847). In addition, the Hydrostats carrying a coil spring in their valve, do not have any leakage even when they are in horizontal place. During the production procedure of the Hydrostats, impermeability tests are made in 100% of every produced lot.
