1. How much will it cost to ship my order at my base?
Transport costs are proportional to the weight of the products and the delivery destination. In order to check how much do the products you are interested in weight, add them to the shopping cart. Next, fill in your billing and shipping information. It is not necessary to register in order to see the transport cost. You can complete the purchase as a guest. At least two shipment methods will appear with the relative cost. Choose the one that suits you better. 2. Are there any more economic shipment methods in European Union and rest of the world?
We have arranged to have the best available transport costs for the entire world. However, if any charge seems disproportionally expensive, please contact us in order to search for alternative shipment methods.
3. Are there any additional charges?
Without prejudice of any software error, we have arranged all of the tax, transport and custom clearance charges to appear in full detail with the completion of your order. For more detailed charges see the article “Help”. To sum up, depending on the category you are in, check below:
i. Greece
In all of the products there is an additional charge of VAT 23%. If you belong to a special VAT category (islands), please contact us.
ii. European Union
If you have a valid VAT number in VIES system, you will not be charged with VAT 23% of Greece. In case you do not have a valid VAT number, you are charged with VAT 23%.
iii. Rest of the world
You are not charged with VAT, but only with custom clearance expenses.
4. What is a Shopping Cart?
Shopping cart is exactly like the baskets at regular stores. With the “Add to cart” button you can place there any product you are interested to purchase, but you can also remove it with the “Delete” button. The fact that you have placed a product to cart does not mean that you have bought it. There are a few more steps in order to make it yours. You can also see what you chose and how much they individually and all together cost.
5. How can I browse the online store?
In our online store you can find many industrial, agricultural and other items that you can have at your disposal with a click. For an easier search we have divided the range of products in the subcategories from which you can browse and find the product of your desire. In case you are looking for something specific, use the “Search engine”, which will prompt you straight to your specific choice. All articles are written in Greek and in English. Choose the appropriate language by clicking the respective flag on the upper right part of the website.
6. Which are the payment methods?
E-commerce has been linked in the minds of consumers using a credit card. Customers and friends of Sidiros.gr have at their disposal many payment methods in order to not have this feeling of insecurity caused by the use of credit. These methods are:
Cash on Delivery (COD): You can pay for goods you have ordered and pay the COD fee on delivery, simply and safe. The COD fee is for the partner who brought you the order. This payment method is only available through ELTA Courier within Greece.
Bank deposit: After your order is confirmed and you have received the confirmation email about the exact amount of money including shipping costs, you can pay for your debt to one of the available bank accounts.
Credit card: This payment method is temporarily unavailable. (If you have a credit card you can use it safely through our order form which directs you to the secure website of EUROBANK. There is no risk as we follow the latest developments of security of transactions.)

8. How can I calculate which v-belt pulley or sprocket I will need depending on the rounds (rpm) I require?
Assuming we have a motor operating at «m» rounds per minute (rpm) and has a v-belt pulley of «dm» diameter.
Assuming we have a shaft (with a log splitting cone) and we want it to operate at «s» rpm with the motor mentioned above.
To calculate the «ds» diameter of the v-belt pulley, which must have the cone shaft, we calculate:
ds =(dm x m)/s
In case we have both v-belt pulleys, meaning we have a motor operating at «m» rpm which has a v-belt pulley of «dm» diameter.
We also have a shaft (with a log splitting cone) with a v-belt pulley of «ds» diameter and we want to calculate the operating rpm «s» of the cone, we calculate:
s =(dm x m)/ds
Pay attention! The calculations must be done with the same units of measurement, e.g. millimeters (mm). If we have sprockets instead of v-belt pulleys, we replace the dm and ds v-belt pulley diameters with the Zm and Zs teeth numbers respectively.
9. How long is the delivery time?
On every product you can see their availability. Furthermore, each order requires a certain amount of time, which is indicated on the shipment method you have chosen. Therefore, the total delivery time is the sum of the availability time and the delivery time.
